Steve Reid

Our Chief Breeder in the US working at our Philomath, Oregon Research Farm. Steve leads our turf and forage grass variety development and has developed many of the top varieties available today; Banfield (used in the 2014 FIFA World Cup), Thrive, Hancock, Diligent, and Bandalore Perennial Ryegrasses. Steve also has developed many leading forage varieties; Olathe, Inavale, and Echelon Orchardgrasses.

Steve Reid hold a BS in Crop and Animal Science from Oregon State University and received his Agronomy education at Iowa State University. He has worked with Cascade International Seeds, Radix Research, and is now the Research Director and Chief Breeder at DLF Pickseed USA; Seed Research of Oregon, Pickseed USA, and DLF USA.
