Adapted / naturalized throughout the Gulf States, south throughout Mexico, eastward through coastal Carolinas, restricted noxious weed in Arizona; grows to 4’; rhizomatous; very deep rooted; easily established; adapted to most soil textures, best on sand soils; poor tolerance of flooding; good forage value; moderate salt tolerance; moderate to poor cold hardiness (to 5° F); extremely drought tolerant.

Drill seeded at 3–6 pounds PLS/acre. 860,000 seeds/pound (de-burred); 225,000 seeds/pound (burr seed).
